Last Work Day At ATEK

Good evening:

Today was our last full day here in Cusco. We were invited out for supper by the ATEK board but we are waiting for transportation.

The morning began at 6:00. As a group we sang ‘Great are you LORD’ and Jeremiah share his testimony and share a devotional on James 4:1-12.  We then had a very powerful time of prayer as we prayed for the pastors.  Everyone of them asked for prayer and even though we did not always know there individual request we asked the Spirit to guide us.  The pastors then gathered around us and prayed for us.  Some of the pastors and several of us were moved to tears.  That was a highlight of our time here in Peru.

After breakfast the team spent the rest of the morning painting and doing electrical work and upgrades which they continued after lunch.  We finished all the painting they asked us to do plus and additional stairwell.  Most of the electrical has been completed.  The pastors are so impressed with the motion light they actually took pictures.

As is often the case my schedule changed last night and I taught for four hours this afternoon.  We finished the book of Ephesians by reading together who we are in Christ.  It has been an incredible experience to teach this group of pastors.  They ask good questions and are very responsive.  Many of them face serious problems in their homes or churches.  We noticed they have gained in confidence during their time here at ATEK.

Tomorrow we head off to Haunca Haunca in the morning. Haunca Haunca is about a 3 hours drive away high in the mountains at approximately 13,000 feet. We have the privilege of being involved in their morning church service.

We thank you all for your prayers and support. We have seen God working during this trip so many times and we are so thankful for what God is doing in the lives of our team and the Peruvian people.

I continue to pray for your safety, good health, and energy. I also pray for your safe travels home, though they be long.
Andy Weighill did a great job today; spoke to and prayed for many people after the service as well. God bless all of you.
